Learn how to hand carve a butter knife and a spoon using only a knife! This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience who wish to fine tune their knife handling skills.

During the course, we will explore knife handling techniques and safety, basic design, navigating wood grain, and how to finish and treat completed carvings. The goal of the course is to teach you a basic understanding of working with wood and safely using a slöjd knife and a hook knife.

Each participant will be able to begin carving 1 butter knife and 1 spoon. Whether you are able to fully complete each carving during the course is dependent on the carver.

Carving knives and hook knives, pre-shaped carving blanks, & fika will be provided!
